David qualified from the British College of Osteopathic Medicine (formerly the British College of Naturopathy and Osteopathy) in 2001 with a First Class Honours Degree in Osteopathic Medicine. He also achieved the college Anatomy Study Prize for finishing top in this subject.
On qualifying, David moved straight into private practice in the Hull, Beverley and Driffield areas. In 2006, he established Pickering Osteopaths, now renamed Hull Osteopaths, the first provider of regulated osteopathic care in the East Hull area.
David's particular area of clinical interest is the use of acupuncture to ease pain, improve his patients mobility, reduce anxiety levels and improve their quality of sleep.
When not in the clinic, David enjoys spending time with his family and is also a keen amateur triathlete and open water swimmer. In 2017, he swam the full length of Lake Windermere (a total of 17km) and in 2019 he completed the Ironman UK triathlon, a distance of 140.6 miles of swim, bike and run in under 17 hours!
David is fully registered with the General Osteopathic Council. He is also a member of the British Medical Acupuncture Society and The Institute of Osteopathy.
